It could be ironic or it could be apt one has to live 1000 years from now to know. What you know of the Dark Ages is surely in question as the people who wrote such history are likely some sort of anthropologist assuming this and assuming that. What you know is now and is relevant now. The "children" around you shall inherit the Earth and our collective future.
